Group hunt yesterday to a spot that had a huge amount of bottle caps, everyone got their fair share of them too! Highlight of the trip was a group (herd, flock, gaggle?) of Manatees and I just happened to have my GoPro on me and actually turned it on!

Up close and personal with some Manatees

That is really amazing. Since moving to FL last year, we've only seen Dolphins twice. It would be great to take the kids (3, 5, & 9) to see some in the wild...and in clear water. Can you shoot me a PM with any locations?

St. Johns river is full of them when its warm. Just sit on a river bank and watch for swirls from their tail. You can see it a 1/4 mile away if its calm. Two biggest Herds I've seen had 9 and 11 manatees. In a boat you have to be prepared to shut your motor down. My wifes grandfather got his boat hull cracked by a female that had a baby. They paddled a little to close. You'll see them in the ocean here. But it's hard to notice them. Find you some river bank and keep your eyes peeled. First manatee I ever saw was at the little jetties when I was a kid while I was sitting on the rocks. It's head came up and scared the heck out of me. You can also smell manatees a long ways away when they break wind. If it smells like bad swamp gas there is a manatee somewhere. My sister has a video of my dad gagging when one cut the cheese in front of us. You see air bubbles from below take a deep breath and run:laughing:

Very cool to see them. I was surfing Matanzas and one came up on the outside. Scared the beejeezus out of me till I knew what it was. Hope they aren't shark bait. ;)

fyi its a herd..lol That would be really cool, have any lettuce on ya? :)

It's illegal to feed them here, they are protected by laws. You cannot even touch them under law.

CDV I suggest you may want to remove or edit your video that shows you or whoever else that is touching them, FFWC is noted for looking on Youtube and Facebook for this stuff. Not that what you or the other person did was any harm, that's just the law.
