I found this last night and am not sure what it, and if it's old.
It says "onward forever"and has a crest surrounded by yellow &black.the crest has a water drop & "fluer de lis". (Which I am not sure is a fluer de lis used in old crests? I thought they were french.
I also found a couple large cents and one Indian penny. However nearby this pin, I found another pin that is not old at all.
I think this one is older because of the porcelain inlay and just the corrosion and appearance.
Thanx 4 your help.

Building on Big Treble's ID, this site gives a date range to the unit.

Another site identified their artillery as 105mm howitzers.

Thanks for the help. I thought it was kinda old. Funny how there was a pin about twenty feet away that was a kids little leage tournament pin from the 2000's. I found this in a farm field where the farmer is the fourth generation to live at the farm. Im going2 ask him if he knew who's it could be.
Thnx
