This is a penny a friend dig today, it's really odd. Do you think it's a die error? Would love to hear some thoughts....

Yes I know it's just a Lincoln....

It's a Dryer Penny.
That is how they get when they are tumbled in a coin-op dryer for an extended time.
They roll on edge around the edge of the dryer and it rounds and rolls the edge over.

My first though was poor attempt at a counterfeit. Dryer coin makes more sense. Cool find either way!
