Today I went to a park from the 1920's. It is a big park that has been notoriously hunted. I wasn't expecting to find much, but sometimes when you think outside the box a little bit, you can find a goodie or two. So I tried an area of the park that I hadn't before, and I got a deep coin signal on my Ace 350. I dug the hole and could see a small silver edge of a dime. Sweet! 
I carefully removed the dime, and could see it was a Mercury. After cleaning it up, I could see it was a 1923 in nice shape. Then after that I found a few Wheats, some of which were that really old greenish color. I found 5 Wheats in total. One is really older looking thick and green, I can't read the date off that one. The others are from 1917, 1924, 1930, and 1944. And while I was hunting that area, I got a couple of iffy, but solid signals, and surprisingly enough, they were Indian Head Pennies. I was surprised to see them, cause this park was created in the 1920's. The first one I found was in really rough shape, as some of the edgeing has rotted away. It is super thin, and it is now my oldest coin I have ever detected, surpassing my 1867 Sheild Nickel. It is an 1866. The other one is a light green colored 1890. How I wish they were in better shape, but I am still glad to have them. I also found an old bullet, if anyone can help me identify it, I'd appriciate your help.
