I had to search a much larger area to get a solid hit tonight. I think I need to go deeper and will try out my 8" round coil this weekend to see if I am just not quite reaching the coins with my DD 12" coil.
This coin was interesting, in that it was on the surface just barely covered by a thin layer of dirt. Condition is rough but it cleaned up nicely with a soft tooth brush and water.
