Default Measly Silver for the Day!

Some pretty awesome finds posted lately so Not too exciting but I am glad to get out for another after work hunt. It has been raining like cats and dogs for the last week so it was nice to get out for 45 minutes tonight. My First D mint mark war nickel. Many S mints and a few P's so getting a D is the silver lining!! Happy hunting all!!

war pennies are my favorite, made from recycled artillery shells but the war nickel is a great find as well.Congrats, sometimes the slimmest pickings are worth the effort.

Love the war nickel, and jealous you got out! I only have 1 war nickel in 6 years. I'm more of a nickel digger now though, since the CTX seems to like them. When I ran one over with the Explore2 though I knew immediately it was a nickel by the smoothness of the audio and how it came and went. Undeniable....
Back to your nickel...how many different letters were there on those? Like, different mints...
