Default Half cent and half dime

We hunted a field that showed a school house that was on an 1800s map. We ended with 19 buttons and three coins. Several firsts for me. This is by far the most buttons I have ever found in one spot(15) and my first half cent and first half dime. The large cent is smooth on the obverse.

Yeah! That elusive small coin has taunted me for 5 years.

What does the signal for one of these look like?

It came in at a 12-40. I thought a farmer had dropped a penny.

Great job! It's amazing how small those half dimes are, tricky to find...

That is my first the signal was good. I found a trime this year also. They are even smaller and thinner than the half dimes. It didn't give me a good signal at all.
