Default Question on NJ Copper

Hi everybody- found this over the summer- coolest coin so far for me. I think it may be a Maris 18-L, but I could be wrong. Question is- is this coin toast or is there a way to clean it up. Really nervous about messing with what could be a great coin(I think it's great now). Also if there are Copper experts who think it's other than a 18-L please let me know.
