It kept its shine because it was sealed in a plastic cover... when I first got it out of the hole, I thought it was just a chunk of aluminum bar because you couldn't see it... the plastic had faded and was dirty, but when I wiped it off I saw a little bit of shine so I decided to cut the plastic off... the first piece of plastic that I pulled away from it revealed the .999 pure silver mark... I thought I was gonna faint!!!

How cool is that, a one troy ounce of 999 silver bar. Last year while I was hunting curb strips in Hollywood CA, my hunting buddy, he dug a one ounce silver bar. I'm guessing there are very few that were lost. Congratulations.

I have several silver ounces but they are in coin shapes.

Thats an awesome silver bar. I buy a 10 oz Engelhard bar every payday. Like stock piling silver.
