I just ran to the store and a worker showed me a Ohio quarter with NO copper on the edge. Too weird. I am unable to find any reference to it online. I am not able to show you a picture as it sits in the pocket of the worker. I am curious...could it be silver...any thoughts/comments...:)

Definately not a proof...I handled it by the edges....MS maybe or AU....but it looks to be silver...there is not copper to be seen anywhere...just wondering so I can go make an offer on it...:)

It's unlikely that it was a planchet that slipped out of SanFran all the way to Philadelphia.

Probably just plated.

I found a 2000 D New Hampshire Quarter (CHRing) that does not show any copper on the rim. I am not sure what causes this, but I don't think that it is anything with great value. I weighed mine, and it is the same as a standard clad quarter..... Good Luck & HH, Dave.....
