Silver 2002-P Ohio Quarter?

I just ran to the store and a worker showed me a Ohio quarter with NO copper on the edge. Too weird. I am unable to find any reference to it online. I am not able to show you a picture as it sits in the pocket of the worker. I am curious...could it be silver...any thoughts/comments...

Definately not a proof...I handled it by the edges....MS maybe or AU....but it looks to be silver...there is not copper to be seen anywhere...just wondering so I can go make an offer on it...

It's unlikely that it was a planchet that slipped out of SanFran all the way to Philadelphia.

Probably just plated.

The edge could be colored in or painted. Check out the post about the half dollar found CRH.

I found a 2000 D New Hampshire Quarter (CHRing) that does not show any copper on the rim. I am not sure what causes this, but I don't think that it is anything with great value. I weighed mine, and it is the same as a standard clad quarter..... Good Luck & HH, Dave.....
