pendant, medallion, pin, or token, bottle emblem/seal ?

Not sure what this is...old or modern ? it's more of a "soft" metal, when it is dropped on the table it sounds like plastic ? Rings up on the detector a mid tone like an indian or slightly less. I think it reads Louis to the left of the man and maybe liberty above the man. nothing on the back... the large cent is for size and weight comparison. found it in a field that has indian cents to recent/modern trash.

I've narrowed it down to a button of some type. I believe it looks like the back of this style button from 1864. Need to find out who the bearded guy is I suppose.

So, is that a coin, or button, or what? Must be somewhat old. Cool find, and nice ID!

It's actually a suspender buckle that I had found, this other picture is a token with the same feature. I was told it is 1850's era

Ahh! That explains why yours is slightly different; with more pronounced features, but still the same design. Mid 1800s stuff is always cool!
