Hi, I use the carrot all the time and today wanted to use in the river. Darn thing leaked, not waterproof anymore. Any ideas on fixing or time for a new one?

Not sure of where the water is coming through

I would send it back to Garrett for a repair. I don't think a new case is that expensive.

Thanks for the input, I ordered a new one anyway and contacted garrett about fixing this one. I think it's that rubber ring on the cap. I tested it in the sink, once completely submerged it gathers water. Still have the original box!!

I somehow managed to poke a hole in the tip of mine. Didnt notice it right away and water and dirt got inside and it started falsing constantly. Rather than sending it in I chose the DIY route. I pulled it apart, cleaned the dirt out, then scrubbed the board with isopropyl alcohol. I epoxied the hole and then PlastiDipped the tip. Works great.
