I detect on occasion and have found two silver items thus far, so I also CRH. In any case I always ask for halves and large dollar coin when I am at the bank. Usually I get the “we already gave them away”, or nothing like that comes around any more. Today though, the next teller over was all too happy to sell me the half dollar that was in her tray. I tried to hide my excitement... but I’m sure I was only 40% able to !

Congrats on the silver! I've gotten 5 silver halves over the counter: 3 Franklins, a '64 Ken, & a '69 40%er. So it definitely pays to ask! Keep it up!
