Hello all! This looks like the Army insignia, but I am wondering what it actually is. Does anyone know or can pinpoint a timeframe? I'm guessing it might be from a belt buckle, or a strap of some sort. Found in a farm field in MA!

It is made of a heavy solid metal, and rang up on my at pro as a solid 84/85. Flat, not curved at all. Roughly 1 and 3/4in in diameter.

Pictures added! Feel free to request more info or pictures!

time frame if I had to guess would be ww1 or post ww1 but pre ww11, Thats a shot in the dark though so look it up before taking my word

Thanks everyone! After looking around and researching us army horse bridle rosette, that's definitely what it is. They apparently were in use from 1903 to the early 1930s (for this design) and then cavalry units were disbanded, except for ceremonial purposes. That means this is an old rosette!! Thanks for all the feedback everyone :)
