Great piece! I wonder if the nuggets were ones that were found by gold miners and then lost or nuggets that were natural in the ground??

Thanks for the solid comments. We really wanted to portray the hobby in a positive but realistic light.

I think CBS did a nice job of editing this together.

It was a real fun experience and I was glad to be a part of it.

It was positive, but it may have oversold the hobby just a bit. I don't think the collection of finds that they showed is typical of the "average" metal detectorist, although I wish it was. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
