Just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kent and I am a 43-year-old newbie to the hobby. I got started by buying my 8-year-old daughter a youth Bounty Hunter detector for Christmas, and then decided to get one for myself in February of this year. I bought a Fisher F2 with three coils. I've been out several times while dodging the ever changing weather in Ohio, mainly in my yard and a vacant lot next to a friend's house. So far it has been fairly productive. I have found 4 Wheaties, a 1942 silver quarter, $4.09 in clad, a Lazell (not sure if it is brass or what) lipstick holder, a 10k gold wedding band, and a Red Goose Shoes $5 premium money token. I am glad to be part of the group, and hope to learn a lot from all of you about metal detecting.
