1.5 hour "yard cleansing" hunt with the Eagle Spectrum at my parents' house tonight. Found my first older .35 caliber projectile. Weight is 155.7gr. Any ideas for approximate age? House was built in 1968.

The house was built only 4 years after they stopped minting silver. There was still a lot of it in peoples pockets 4 years later, so I'd be surprised if there isn't some out there somewhere.

Was a good thing to have all that stuff out of the yard anyway, and it was good practice. I'd hunt it again.

Good luck!

I keep hunting it- every week I take my kids over to visit with Grandma and Grandpa, so I detect and pull more junk out. I am hoping the same. Maybe after I clear it better stuff will start showing. The hardest part is the rocky soil they live on.
