Hey folks, these are my results from my last two hunts. The first one at a 1950's house and a pounded 1940's school. I dug 7 Mercs throughout the hunt. 5 came from the school and two came from the house. I also dug 15 wheat pennies, and $6.92 in clad in the steamy heat. And for my second hunt yesterday, I went to an 1960's school that I have never been to before. I usually don't touch public spaces this young, but the reason why I did was because a 1940's park used to sit at this site, before the school was built. Only a fraction of the field was the original dirt, the rest I believe has been filled over time. But I pounded this area, and dug a lot of trash that went to the nearby dumpster. I dug $11.43 in clad, 4 wheat pennies, two 1942 Washington quarters, one of them has an S mint mark, a 1951 Rosie, and two decent sized pretty sterling rings. Again, I had to deal with steamy warm conditions. I can't stand digging in this heat, but I have to scratch that itch sometimes you know? Nothing mind blowing in this post, but not a bad haul considering the poor weather conditions, and how much tougher the sites now are in my area. Here are the pics, thanks for looking, stay cool, and HH Everyone! :)

Wow! Great hunts. That's a couple months of silver for me. Very nice.

Impressive

That's a killer couple hunts. Surprised you found that many silver dimes at a pounded 1940s school. Were they slam dunk signals, bouncy "iffy" signals most ignore, or that awesome sounding consistent "deep" faint tone?

 Nothing mind blowing...

That would be a great year of detecting here on the sites I have to work with! I'd say you did okay.

They were just a few feet away from the road in the school's front lawn. So that I would imagine kept most diggers away over the years. As far as the signals go, they weren't deep maybe 5 to 6 inches, but there was quite a bit of interference, probably from power lines, and some trash too from the sidewalk and road. The E Trac numbers (44 and 45 conductive or so), and the sound was about right.

Very cool. Must be a busy road that kept others away. In the small town I grew up in I swear every square inch has been slammed!
