Pedal, Stove Piece?

Anyone have any ideas as to what this may be?

It was found at a site that used to be a 1870s silver mining town at a homesite that was giving up items from the early teens to the 20's. "Ran 70" stamp.

Pretty sure it's a ash shaker grate for a wood stove.

Thanks! Second time Ive heard that and makes sense. I cant find anything on the "Ran 70" though.

I did som research and it seems that shaker grates were used only in COAL stoves.

It looks like part of a BBQ grill from a park. I won't get there this weekend as they are having a summer fest weekend but I'll snap a pic of the grills there.

I couldn't remember what it was called, yes a Hibachi grill.
