Went out this past Saturday with "Matmit" here on the forums to
do some tear outs.
We weren't having much luck so drove to another area and parked
our cars on a side street. There was an older gentlemen planting
hastas in his front yard.
I was parked behind Matmit and I had just gotten out of my van. The next thing
I know Mat is walking over to the guy and asking permission to hunt his yard.
The guy says sure!!
Sooo....were hunting the front yard for a while and Mat gets two Mercuries!!
We continue to hunt the yard and at some point as I'm hunting I hear someone
calling me from across the street. It's Mat....he's across the street in another
yard swinging his detector yelling, "Hey, why dont you come help me over here!"
I'm thinking, "What The Heck!! How did he get permission to do that yard also?!"
I guess at some point while I was focused on detecting, Mat saw the owner pulling
out of the driveway and walked over and got permission to hunt that yard also.
It was a funny moment for me
:Moral of this story is:
I need to ask Mat to go hunting with me more often.... lol
P.S. I did end up pulling a Rosie and a 1917 Merc out of that yard across the street.
Oh, and I'm the guy with the Bright Yellow shirt on trying to look inconspicuous and
Mat has the wife beater shirt on looking up as if he were saying, "come over here
and bother me and I'll beat you up" lol
