any advice for hunting civil war relics in this type of creek in urban Atlanta?

these creeks have high banks about 12 feet or better. They rise very, very quickly due to the urban surrounding building roofs and parking lots. 2 inches of rain in a couple of hours can cause a 12 inch deep creek rise to 4 feet.

up on the banks it is a lot of sand from major flooding every 5-6 years. I am guessing any relics from 153 years ago are long covered in sand on the areas adjacent to the creek up on top of the banks.

My only guess is to hope that some of the creek bank erosion has cause the relics to drop in the creek. and hunt along both sides of the creek close to the banks. Besides these creeks are kind of in no mans land where they are completely over grown in Chinese privit, kudzu vine and weeds.
