Things have been quiet lately so I decided to hunt an area which I normally avoid. No hotels and no population density. Just an empty stretch of beach. Hit the low tide at around 10 last night and then 10 this morning for a total of about five hours hunting. Took two 14k and one 10k last night and a 14k and silver today. I'll never be satisfied with a hunt again. Pity me.

Wow! You are a gold ring FREAKBEAST! Congrats!

As an aspiring beach hunter would you mind a bit more info? Wet sand, water, dry, etc? Did you find a lane or cut that produced these beauties?

No appreciable cut, just low tide in wet sand and water. There was absolutely no reason to think this beach would produce. It did look like some sand had moved off but having never hunted this area I simply don't know. There weren't any shell beds or coarse sand... just lots of targets at 6 to 8 inches... and the odd gold ring here and there lol.

In that case I say virgin spot. Sand a long the coast gets pushed back in before the summer. Get back out there and stick it an stick it very hard! Good stuff....hot spot for sure.
