Hello everybody!

I found a small ring last weekend! It is gold because my detector shows it on the gold range... And I can see some yellow shining areas on it. Plus I found 1803 Indian head button and something that looks like coin two weeks ago. It is not totally circular, it is elliptical. I cannot read writings on it. I think it is older than that 1803 button on the pic. How can I clean these items without destroying their surface??? Waiting your suggestions.

Plus what can it be that elliptical thing? Any guess?

Be careful on the coin, don't do anything until you find out what it is and the value. Cleaning is the quickest way to ruin the value of a coin.

That shape looks like that of religious medals I have found, not a coin. And I think the ring is plated not solid/alloyed gold. If that ring is gold you should be able to clean it up easily with a cottonball, toothpaste and a household ammonia solution.
