Well I went down to the PMO (Provost Marshall's Office) today and inquired about MD on base. To my surprise they said YES! With the only exception being I have to stay off Ranges and Restricted Area's. Which is fine by me, I'd rather not get shot or blown up looking for some old military junk. I'm really looking forward to this! There are endless possibilities as far as places to hunt. Wish me luck. :D

Congrats and good luck. I wish I was into this hobby when I was stationed there. I was over on geiger with 8th marines back in 82 - 85. Did my last 4 months on lejuene with 10 th marines. Don't forget to hit them beaches. Good luck and Semper Fi.. lets see some pics of them finds when you can.

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread it will be interesting to see what you come up with.
I was on the left coast when state side but I wont hold that against you. ;)

Nice man looking good. I try not to think about the miles of Coronado Island beaches I didn't hunt because I was clueless about MDing...

Should be a lot of things lost over the many years by jar heads and others. I do not remember how old the base is, but old. Have a good hunt. Semper Fi 1964-1970
