Re-Plated Steel Pennies

I recently obtained quite a few of these '43 Steel Pennies. The dealer who had them said they were "re-plated" with a new coating of zinc....

Never heard of such. What do you guys think?

kinda looks like the ones that I have that i cleaned in tumbler. IMO if they were recoated they would of had a more even color...GL+HH.....cliff.
