I found a toasted copper coin today in Mesille/Las Cruses NM. Very old area. The copper is flaking off, totally removing the surface. The only identifying mark visible is a large wreath along one side of the back of the coin. Not much to go on, but wondering if anyone on here has a clue. It is the size of a quarter. Found in area with old Spanish, Mexican and US coins.
