I don't know.

Info could be helpful for someone considering the model also.

There are other model detectors talked about here in this subsection, and there likely aren't many other users here either.

Like Rutus Alter 71.
But this doesn't mean info can't be posted and shared.

Besides its winter time.
Some folks are bored since they can't detect.
So reading about detectors and detector issues may pass the time for them, as well as broaden their knowledge.

Btw, in case you don't know.
This thread here could surface if anyone is using a search engine like Google, etc. and this may indeed help them.

And could be accessed by doing advanced search on this forum as well.

Also seems the 7000 model can be had for less than $7000.
Like used for around $4800.
See forum above classifieds.

Thanks for the link, I don't know if dad has updated his detector yet, but I'll show him the link because he's been recording every nugget he's found. He thinks he's onto something big!

You are quite welcome Sandgroper.

Just goes to show someone may indeed benefit from this thread.

Not all folks are computer or Internet savvy, hence they just don't get involved.

So sure a person could have a relative or friend, and see some thing posted say on a metal detecting forum and help a person out or at least make them aware.
