So found all this on the edge of a battle area in a 10' X 10' flat square spot. There was part of an old pocket knife, an eagle button, a small thing with a square hole, a metal plate with Cornelius & Baker - Philadelphia (Seems they made gas lights in the mid 1800's), and the curved thing I am wondering if anyone has any ideas about. It is heavy maybe brass and has the rectangle slot in it. Any thoughts?
Thanks for looking.

Thanks. I knew I had seen them before but could not remember what it was. I am thinking this might have been a camp site area given the stuff from the area. I think I should know what the other curved thing is too but can't figure it out. I thought part of a gun site but that does not seem quite right. Then I thought a hasp part for a locking book but the hinge part would be on the other end so am still at a loss.
Thanks again though.
