I found this little button this evening along with a couple nice bullets.
The button looks like a cuff button from VA. It appears to be like the flag seal with a sword.
What was this button from?

Thanks for looking HH!

Sweet button! Is there a back mark? Give me some dimensions and maybe a shot of the back and I will ID it for you. Nice find bud!

There is a back and it appears to be Scovill?
It's small just over 1/2" dia. .537".

Thanks

Been looking for the exact backmark but can't locate it in my book. It mostly resembles the Virginia Militia coat of arms produced by Scovill 1830s - 1840s and used throughout the war as general use VA buttons. Civil War Confederate VA button for sure buddy. Nice job. That's awesome, I'll get one sooner or later. Bring it next time you're in town. I'd like to check it out.

Nice button and lead!

I'd love to come across a 69 cal. round. Around here, it's primarily .54, .58 3-ringers, along with occasional Enfields.

Thats a great find. Im taking you're advise. Im going to get an at pro wed.
