Default Hunted an athletic field. Silver ring?

Tryed a new park today. Pulled some clad, up near the old batting cages got an 85-90 vdi on my AT Pro. No makings on inside. Happy hunting.

Absolutely looks silver, do the spit and tinfoil trick. Sounds gross, but spit on the ring and completely wrap it in aluminum foil. Should crackle and smell like rotten eggs if silver... Nice find, congrats!

Looks like it's a coin ring made from a silver coin.

I agree with Jason, it's a ring made from a silver half most likely...nice dig!

You can see the hammer marks on the outside of it where it’s been whacked into submission. The inner “scoring marks” are likely from some kind of tool when they were taking out the internal ridge that forms when you make one.
Drop it on a hard surface! Maybe the sound will give it away. I will also agree with Jason,it would have to be a half dollar to make one that big I think...
Here’s a pic of one I found that wasn’t filed out in the center,it’s made out of a Walker.

Total agreement with the others the ring is a custom job made from a Silver Coin. Congrats! Trapper

I did the foil spit test. It smelled like sulfer. For sure its silver. A first for me a coin ring.😎

Nice find. Those tight 85-90 signals are sweet, usually a stack of quarters or a silver ring... or a sprinkler head. You got the best!
