My Snake Boots came today!!

Just had a snake bite death here in Deming a few months ago! The fool had it as a pet.:wow:

We had a friend that went to the motorcycle rally in Sturgis, North Dakota and got bit by a rattlesnake. Within one hour he was life-flighted to the nearest big hospital. The ER doc said they had to give him more anti-venim doses than anyone that they have ever treated before. He almost lost his leg, and his life. Maybe that's why I am not on friendly terms with them!!

Snake boots or kevlar leggings are a great idea for MDing in snake country. Hunting in rattler country with head phones is a recipe for disaster. I don't know where ya'll get that venomous bits aren't serious. Hospital treatment for a serious bite can cost around 100 grand ("Venom", Animal Planet). Even a mild bite can cost you a 3 day stay in the hospital. Improved treatment today keeps the death toll down, but the venom does nerve and tissue damage. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
