As for wireless headphones, well that just goes back to charging.I have wireless but hardly ever use them.I was gonna buy a Garrett zlink cause they have crazy run time, and hold a charge while sitting Idle for a week..But Iím not spending that kinda loot in them when I have multiple sets of good wired headphones.
I just bought a new Subaru Forester 2 months ago.The backup camera is cool, but Iíve already come close to side swiping a truck while using it at the mall,it has blind spots for sure on the sides,if your watching the camera itís great for whatís behind ya,but when I watch it I donít pay attention to the sides of the car,and thatís where the trouble happens. But I wouldnít trade that forester for a Bentley, that thing is a beast.
I think you get my point.

Detectors will be more like autos.
We expect autos now to have A/C, GPS, back up camera, anti lock brakes, auto headlights, hot station buttons for tuning radio, keyless entry, etc.

So Detectors will have some things standardized with time. (They used to be called luxuries but will be called necessities). We already see folks make comments like, well if it ainít got no wireless headphones capability Iím out.

And they will likely be the fad or more popular.

Now we are on auto braking, etc. with autos.
Actually, as of May 2018 backup cameras are required by law on all new autos sold in the U.S.

Youíre right about automatic braking, blind spot detectors, adaptive cruise control, etc - once people try them, most wouldnít own a car without them.

The insinuation that Garrett is suffering any at the hands of the Equinox just isnít grounded in reality, yet. Goto any Facebook metal Detecting group and every single newb into the hobby is buying an AT Pro or Ace series. Every single post of people seeking a recommendation for a detector is flooded with AT Pro and Ace recommendations. Hanging out on dedicated MD forums has clouded somes ability to recognize Garrettís stranglehold on the newcomer market with their marketing machine.

Minelab makes great machines, but their marketing probably doesnít make a dent on the newcomer market. They can keep squirting out GoFinds, but until they figure out their messaging their core market will always be those that are well established in the hobby.

And First Texas isnít struggling, they own the Big Box retail market, and just upgraded into a new $7 million dollar facility. Iíd love to see them put out another flagship, but theyíre probably looking at their balance sheet and yawning at whatís most definitely a smaller market for them.

I have not insinuated Garrett is suffering.
But if anyone thinks they havenít lost part of their market share due to Nox, needs to put down their bong.

You must feel guilty since you replied Willie Nelson. But since you brought it up, you have multiple times in multiple threads, should I go screenshot and post here what you said before you hurry up and edit your posts?

I have a sand shark that I used twice and the coil is bad. I sent it back for repair. It came back the same way, i want to send it in again. Does anyone know if they are still working and repairing or are they filing bankruptcy?

There is not a man on here that would choose some new car with back up cameras if had the choice between a cherry 1969 Camara SS or a 2018 Volvo with a back up camera and bells and wistles. If you would then your simply not a man.

I still have both of mine.

The Tesoro detectors are going to become a high demand item with the news of Tesoro closing its doors. In the right hands, a Tesoro is deadly. My best finds have been with Tesoro detectors.
