Cleaning with "Bam"

A while back I tried experimenting with "Bam" cleaner on some pennies. On TV they dunk it in half way and it looks as if it was just minted. Liar, liar, pants on fire! I tried cleaning 100 pennies with it with absolutely no effect.
 
Thanks for the heads up on the BAM...was planning on buying it to give it try. Looks like you saved me some 'hard dug clad' ! :grin:
 
Whatever you do, don't put BAM in your coin tumbler. The gas pressure build up and will literally blow the lid off of the drum!!! What a mess to clean up and not to mention the risk of getting the tumbler motor wet. :shock:
 
Well thanks for that heads up, could have been costly for someone.
 
I used KABAM it cleans them... but, if you leave it on too long it leaves them blotchy. Its like the good part of the coin cleans great, but the exposed part to ground doesnt.
