A while back I tried experimenting with "Bam" cleaner on some pennies. On TV they dunk it in half way and it looks as if it was just minted. Liar, liar, pants on fire! I tried cleaning 100 pennies with it with absolutely no effect.
Whatever you do, don't put BAM in your coin tumbler. The gas pressure build up and will literally blow the lid off of the drum!!! What a mess to clean up and not to mention the risk of getting the tumbler motor wet.
anyone ever use liquid ammo brass cleaner on stuff?
I use some stuff called "turbo case cleaner" by Lyman for cleaning ammo brass and it does a really good job, I'm going to have to dig the bottle out and see how it works on a dirty coin...
I used KABAM it cleans them... but, if you leave it on too long it leaves them blotchy. Its like the good part of the coin cleans great, but the exposed part to ground doesnt.
