Pinpoint function on LPR

I'm still very much a newbie, so this is probably an easy question to answer. I took out my new Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro for the first time Sunday. A few times I thought I had something, but when I used the pinpoint function, I was unsure where exactly under the coil it was pointing. The coil is the standard 11" DD. Can anyone point me in the right direction (down, right)?

Throw a coin or two on top of the ground and see where your coils' sweet spot is. You can raise your coil to avoid overloading. Once you know where dead center is on your coil, you're all set. With a dd coil, i pinpoint to centet then turn 90 degrees and repeat. Where the two lines meet is whete i dig. When out hunting, if your pinpoint seems off from where x'ing the target in discriminate mode shows it to be it's most likely iron.
