Searching a 1890's house yesterday with my ATPro and found this in the front yard. The sad part..... It's broken. One of the broken pieces was inside of it but there is still some missing. I search around and couldn't find any other pieces. image.jpg

I will fill in some rings for you...

Same thing here...found mine at 1880's house site.

Ive heard them called petal bells as well because of the petal design... used on sleighs & horses.

Congrats on the crotal !!

Cool good job on the Dave! What is the number on the bell that is next to the slit opening? It's a size reference... I have two number ones last year and this year.
Last year I was thinking before I went out one day I havnt found a bell yet.... A few hours later I dug one up, that's the irony of this hobby.
