just wondering what cool and or old finds were found on Long Island.

I found a Matron Head large cent in a park in Amityville. The date is totally worn off,but the last issue date of this coin was 1835.

There are a lot of oldies that I've found or seen found on LI including Coppers,hundreds of silver coins.The very best stuff is found on the old farms on the East End ,if you can get permission.Those fields can date to the 1640's.

New member from suffolk county, The coolest things i've found are a no date georgivis II REX coin from the mid 1700's and the very next day i found a 1798 large cent. I dont think that will ever happen again. Paul
