HOLY $&+¥ !!!!! Look at this pocket watch!!!!

That’s a gorgeous old timepiece there Chip. Those emerald number backs are hypnotizing. NOTHING has the visual allure of emeralds IMO. I LOVE shimmering dark green anyway, what a dazzling old piece of history!

By any standards that watch is a eye popping find exactly as it is.
Personally, I would not go any further with the cleaning or attempts to remove the layers of age which give it character.
This comment is prompted by the advice I've received in regards to restoration of old jewelry and coins.
The advice was leave them alone because the patina on old silver is more valuable than the silver content of the coin or jewelry, and the character it adds to the piece is priceless.
If its monetary value is the question, without doing a thing to it, float it on eBay as a auction and see where the bidding stops.
If the value of a find is determined by the cash worth alone, nothing is worth a cent more than someone s willing to pay.
