Got out to a town about 45 minutes away with JD. It was summer hot today so we looked for shade. Our first and only yard started at 1030 and lasted to 130. Of course all the finds were in the front unshaded part of the yard and there were a lot of finds!

I got silver #33, a 43 Merc, two Buffs 1935 & 36, an emerald green 1924 1 Pfenig Coin from Germany and 27 wheats dating from 1920. The spoon is Niagara Silverplate. Research says 1925 Virginia pattern. Bright silver button is Waterbury Tennessee Highway Patrol button.

JD killed it with an 1876 Seated Dime 2 yards from my truck, 2 30s Mercs, and a 36 GW. He also scored 3 pieces of a Sterling Forget me not bracelet that is engraved. I think he got an Indian from the late 1800s and about half as many wheats as I got.

We both got a few relics. Just got too hot to continue. Going to hit it again after it cools down this week.

Anyone have a clue about the medallion with what looks like 9OG?

It was a fun hunt with non-stop targets.

Thanks TJ. We usually get about 75% yes answers. There are things to consider before asking other than I'd like to hunt it. If private property signs up don't ask. If no soliciting sign up don't knock. If yard is immaculate we normally don't ask, with some exceptions if it just looks loaded lol. Today we were 50% because we first asked at an immaculate high dollar place and those are tricky. You get a feel for it the more you do it. Just live with the fact that there will be no answers and sometimes it can even be rude. Just say thanks, suck it up and put on a smile for the next knock.

Update: just discovered that the Coca Cola bottle is a pencil sharpener...cool.

Sounds like a blast of a hunt! Thats a TON of coins! Im assuming we will get to see some of this on video soon?

Yep, I'm sure JD will put up a video in the near future. Thanks. We added it up and it was 98 coins total. 40 wheats, 1 Seated Dime, 3 Mercs, 1 GW, 2 Buffs, 1 IHC and 1 foreign coin 50 clad coins.

Oh yeah, homeowner said his neighbor had detected there several times. He couldn't believe our pile all came from his yard.
