Hit the beach this morning around 5 am. Weather was great around 70 this morning and not much of a wind blowing. Ran into several surf pirates this morning. There were not many targets for a long time. Then I got into a cut way down the beach and started getting sinkers all around me. Then out pops this spike from an old ship. So I am thinking to my self that with all this there has to be some gold here someplace. Sure enough in a few minutes I get this low tone and out pops this little 14k ring. 1.9 grams. Here is a quick spin

Congratulations!! Looks like a great way to start the day. Those sinkers sure were a lot of weight to lug around. But, the gold always makes it worthwhile.:D

Nice post and finds David. I like that old spike, part of history. I have to ask this question, when do you sleep????? I watch your posts and you are out at night and sunrise. I think I would be right there with you if I lived in that area though, Good luck, Jim

Yes it sure was nice Friday AM , and it was a pleasure to meet you . As a newcomer to this detecting thing it seems that there are alot of good people involved. My street sweeper didn't find much just some old beach towels and alot of Mcdonalds trash....
