For some of us, It is time to put our detectors to bed for the winter. 
We all know that some times we get moisture on the control box. How much gets inside ?
We go from cold to hot or from hot to cold. That will cause condensation.
When I clean mine up and get them ready for bed. I take out the batteries.
Than inside the battery compartment I put in one of them SORBENT packs. Just to be sure all moisture inside will be gone. I get them in my perscription bottles and in other things. Than they are ready for old man winter.
