Went out today after the rain stopped. It was cold and wet and not real enjoyable but it has been raining for days and I needed to get out, even if it was only for a couple hours. I wasn't even finding much clad, and finally found a fairly shallow 1956 wheat penny. Finally got a deeper repeatable 26 tone, figured it was a dime of some sort. I found it in the plug about 5-6 inches down. I could see the rim in the caked on dirt and I knew it was silver. When peeled the dirt off ,I had my first Barber! It is barely a Barber, as 1916 was the last mint year.
