Nice find! The only thing I look for on a dug Jefferson nickel is the huge mint mark on the reverse.

I always can tell if it's a war nickel. I even took a pic in the dirt knowing this was a war nickel.
The rims are usually silver looking, and the more you rub the coin the more silver shows.
