Here are two unique buttons I found in the same field as the coppers - the first I found was the ultra-tiny oval button with the anchor on it (I used the dime for reference on how small it truly is), like a dummie I used some water to clean it and a dab of olive oil...which in turn made it darker to see (me bright!) - it's an anchor with a fine rope wrapped around it, although it's hard to see - anyone know what this is, if military, and if so, how old?

The other button was found at the far end of the field in a turn, totally random since there were no tones for at least 1/2 football field away from those coppers - so perhaps the person needed to find a really good tree to drop their drawers 200+ years ago, who knows?

Anyway, the button is about the size of a quarter and has a crown on the top and what appears to be a hunting horn object (powder horn), anyone know if this is military as well?

I tried enhancing the photos to bring out more details and doing an image search but could not find a match,
but found there are so many vintage buttons with a crown or anchor !

Anyhow, maybe if you find a web site that deals with such artifacts maybe you could email them the photos to see if they could ID them, here is one possible such site - http://www.historicalshop.com/sitecontents/colonial/rwbuttons.htm

Not sure about the first button yet but these are Royal Navy buttons

The other looks like generic Victorian Volunteer Infantry button.... Quality of the crown is dubious but might be slight damage.... https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=g...lunteer+infantry+button&imgrc=K_fgpOGy_W_WjM:

Can you read the writing around the upper edge? It may identify the Regiment... Like
