Welcome back Kevin! I'm in and out of the hobby and now that I'm retired I hope to get into it and stay....well there is the wife and all those projects. 
I'm in SE Missouri, down in the Bootheel.
Love the Etrac, bought one used from a gent on here and have been super happy. The Etrac will hunt, you just have to get used to it, dig everything until you get used to it, any repeatable tones are a must dig. I Bought A Nox 800 this year and I'm learning it. I do like the weight and the waterproof ability, I did buy it for water hunting. I do think the Etrac will do better in the dirt, maybe not as good with small gold targets as the Nox seems to be.
