I had some free time today and yesterday morning so I went to one of the really small towns.....hoping to maybe get an Indianhead or a token.
Well..... I got both. I dug 8 wheats as well and a 3 Merry Widows tin.

If any of you researching guys can pull it off I would love to know where the token came from. I dug it in Douglas, ND but who knows where it originated. It reads Gray Cash Store on the front.

I'm tempted to try to repair the bullet hole but I'm not sure how I will accomplish that without messing the thing up too bad.

According to Newspapers.com there was a Gray’s cash store in Eugene Oregon. The article is from 1925. That’s all I could find.

More of the sweet swinging adventures Tundra. Congrats on the Indian , the Wheat 's and the Token. I would not try any repair as that hole gives in character. Trapper

Thanks Trapper! I thought for sure I was going to dig an Indianhead yesterday. I got permission at an old turn of the century house in Douglas but only scored a bunch of pennies. One was a very worn out 1919 wheat that rang up just like an IH....got me pretty excited! Oh well, it was good hunting anyway.
And I think I may leave the token as is.....I don't want to screw it up.
