Due to such a mild winter (in general) I have been able to really get out pretty often since X Mas (when I got my first MD, a BH Fast Tracker, and 3 weeks later, an ACE250) and aside from a shortage of silver coins, have done well.
Totals for clad:
$37.50 in quarters (150 coins)
$15.30 in dimes (153 coins)
$2.15 in nickles (47 coins two from the 1950s)
$4.10 in pennies (410 coins)
THAT alone is 760 holes dug just there!
also:
14 wheaties (oldest 1918)
1 Buffalo nickle (1924)
1 mercury dime (1941...great condition)
7 different tokens (chuck eee cheesy types)
1 Sac dollar coin
13 rings...out of which:
3 18K gold
9 .925 silver, including a beautiful turquoise-inlaid one
1 junk toe ring
1 1963 Timex watch
1 top part of a 1940's WWII Mark II grenade (found 8" deep in my own backyard!)
1 sq. head nail (at an old homestead)
1 huge axe head
old pocket knife
22 cal bullet (in school tot lot)
1 silver earing w/ 1/2 carat european-cut diamond (it's real, I checked)
1 silver bracelet w/ the name "Munroe" engraved in an inlaid garnett
1 lead? whale charm found at old homestead
1 .925 drum charm
several small silver earrings
and COUNTLESS pull tabs,old pop caps,beer cans,nails,wire,canslaw,splitshot,bell sinkers,foil wads,buttons,snaps,melted cans,bb's,shotgun shells,nad other crap I forget.
NO WONDER MY FREAKING BACK AND KNEES HURT!!
here's a pic. I hope you all enjoy...the ACE250 seems to work very well

Good Golly Man, you're a diggin' machine!

I'm still using my Faster Tracker, got it about seven weeks ago. I've only got a 533 coin count (27.16 face), 2 rings, 2 ear rings, a silver pendant, etc.

Did the Ace 250 make a significant difference in your hunts?

BH Bob,
I think the ACE has more depth than the BH FT...and since the BH has only two tones vs the ACE's 3, I get more audio info as well. Oh yeah...the VID is great too!...the ACE is pretty accurate when it says there's a quarter there.
Oh yeah...I have a TON of rechargeable NimH AA batteries, and that's what the ace uses rather than 2 9-volters.
And it doesn't look like a muffler-on-a-stick!...j/k

I used to run all coin mode, and have since switched to mostly jewelry. I am working with all-metal now. It takes some getting used to, but it seems that the less discrimination you use, the more the ACE tells you. I like to decide whether to dig or not, not trust the machine per se. I use pinpoint mode to determine relative size of the object to try and weed out canslaw or crushed cans that trick the ACE into thinking it's a quarter of half.
