My first year: March 2016-March 2017.
Most of my finds have come from curb strips and old home sites with no houses around. For the first 7 months I used an ACE 150. For such a basic machine I found a lot of good coins and a few relics. September last year I upgraded to an AT Pro. I started out going over all of my previous spots and found quite a bit more that I missed with the ACE. At first I was chasing silver and digging mostly high tones, my finds started to slow down. After a month of not finding much I realized that I was being TOO picky about what I would dig. So I decided to slow down and start digging more solid tones and faint high tones. It started to pay off, I was finding V nickels and GOLD. Recently I got the Garret 5x8 coil, and it is awesome. I found 5 rings in one week with it. All in all I must say I am hooked for life. And I must also thank all of the forum members who have indirectly helped me whether they know it or not, the amount of wisdom in this forum is amazing.
