CTX3030 or Equinox 800

CTX 3030:
Better Target ID (more stable, more info & more accurate)
Deadly on deep silver & higher conductors
Target Trace (very useful)
Better depth meter (digital read-out + more accurate)
Easier to pinpoint IMHO (auto ratcheting + trigger activated)
More bells & whistles

Equinox:
Faster recovery
Better on small low conductors
Lighter
Cheaper

Both pretty easy to use IMHO.

For coin shooting I'd grab the 3030 hands down. For relics, scouting and picking out semi-masked targets from older sites with a lot of iron, I'd take the Nox.

I vote 800. After a few months of hunting quite a bit with it, I dig very little trash. I admit it was overwhelming at the begining, with all the modes and things you can adjust, i was struggling to find anything at first. Set up properly, I find the id to be very accurate. The more I use it the more I learn it and the better the results I get, less and less trash and more good stuff. Minelab has put out some great info on how the nox works and how to use it, which has definitely helped. Youtube videos, havnt helped me learn the nox at all. I like the pinpoint function and have even been using my pinpointer less the better i get with the nox.
Top reasons i went with nox,
Lightweight
Easy to breakdown and travel with
Works in saltwater and underwater, the field, the park, or for nugget shooting
Price vs comparable detectors
Unmasking ability
