I got a extra special Christmas gift from my dear old dad this year. Me being the only child of his three that has a interest in his past passion of coin collecting and metal detecting, he gave to me his only 1909 S VBD wheat penny. He bought this coin back in the mid 1970's what was his hey day for the hobby. He was using a whites goldmaster that he bought in 1975 for $400 and was used regularly up untiul last year when I got a MXT. He actually traded $40 face value silver for it because silver was 10X face value I guess. He bought the penny for $110. It is graded by a few coin specialist in the area at XF and it was also graded XF when he bought it. I will send a picture of it to epi-hunter so he can possibly post it. I couldnt get a real good picture of the coin, just the cardboard holder it has been in since 1975.

On another note. It's nice to have the forum back up and running. Cant wait till the ground thaws around here. I may have to take a trip to Florida this winter. HH everyone.
