Hit a new beach today not far from me. Got caught in the rainstorm as soon as I left the car! Today I was wading in the shallows knee to waist deep. My CTX3030 has been on fire lately! 4 straight hunts with gold from the water!

Clad, and trash. Lots of it today, more trash than clad. Haven't counted it yet.

4 rings today. 1 nice 14k that broke, with amethyst and maybe diamonds or fake ones. The other 2 rings are plated, the child's ring with a B is pretty cool. I think the ugly gray ring is an older silver ring. Will need to clean that one in the tumbler.

Best ring! Ths was on top of the mud when I lifted my scoop. Caught my eye right away! Stamped 14k! Looks home made. Maybe old?

Hope everyone gets out today.

Update!

After talking to Craig he thought the little B ring may be 10k gold. I tumbled it for an hour and used toothpaste and sure enough it is gold!

Also that gray ring is a pewter cast, not Silver.. Bummer. Still cool though and looks old.

Wow! I really should try beach hunting...Destin is only 30 miles away!

Congrats on a great hunt!

Great job man you look to be in a mostly unhunted area. :wow:

Map out all your lakes an d hit them all. Good luck!

Does your wife know you are using her measuring cup to wash your finds;)

Good job on the gold... what's with that ring that looks all mangled in the back?

I had to buy her a glass one!! Kitchen Aid at that!

Funny thing is I had a mixed pull tab-zinc signal that was bouncing between the 2. I saw that ring in the scoop and thought I hope that's gold! I checked the scoop and pulled out a pull tab! Got both targets in 1 scoop. I was hoping I would find a zinc cent in the scoop, but the crapper ring is plated and gives. 12-35 ID and tone.

At least the zinc penny is spendable and was the more valuable find out of that scoop!

I am pretty sure this beach has not been detected before. At low tide I was a good 200ft from the shore and still knee deep. The pull tabs and trash seem to be congested along the low tide line, but go out a hundred feet or so and you start getting the heavy items. Rings and clad. This would also likely be where swimmers would be at high tide. Losing stuff.

That last ring is really nice! If it is home made, someone put in a lot of time and detail!

I guess I was correct on both rings... I knew that wasn't a silver ring but an old cast or pewter ring ;) the initial ring cleaned up nice ;)

well, you traded what you thought was silver for a junker and traded what you thought was a junker for gold,,,,nice double on the gold,,,,,that amethyst ring is awesome,,,GL HH
